Since leaving WAB, and Beijing, last December, WAB alums and sisters Ida and Mie have continued to excel in gymnastics in their home country of Denmark. The girls' mother, Helle, recently contacted WAB to share good news of how her daughters have continued to excel in gymnastics, following the two years they participated in Derek Davies' gymnastics program at WAB.
"Mie is now on the best team in Denmark. Last weekend they won the Danish championship, and they also won the competition for going to the Nordic championship where they got number 3. Ida is on a junior team and they got number 2 in the second best class. The competition is called team gym and consists of between 6 - 12 gymnasts and they compete with 3 pieces; a floor routine, tumbling and trampette."
