Despite the heat, the PTA Fun Fair and Rock in the Park were a huge success this year, bringing together the whole school WAB community for a day of celebration and charitable giving. The PTA Charity Committee will allocate proceeds from Saturday's event for various earthquake relief efforts in Sichuan province. Many thanks to all who contributed, performed, volunteered, set-up and enjoyed...the day truly embodied the WAB spirit and sense of community.

Special thanks to the PTA and the Fun Fair Committee for creating such a wonderful opportunity for families! The Olympic-themed games were a huge hit this year, and the water games were especially appreciated in the heat, as were the fruity shlushies whirred up by the Korean community!

The PTA worked closely with the MSHS Music and Art departments to create the festival atmosphere of Rock in the Park, an event which bears the trademark visions of Mark Armstrong and Tamara Palmer.

As with all events, big and small, at WAB, a huge thank you goes to the Properties crew, who set up, maintain and breakdown every table, umbrella, game and tent pole assembled and placed for the event. Thanks as well to Tony Cole and his sound and light crew, who really know how to "amplify" WAB events into extraordinary gatherings.
