Parental involvement is critical to every child’s school progress and success. In March, WAB ES Counselors Siv Sandberg and Ken Perkins will offer three parent workshops focused on guiding parents on how they can support their children's education.
Topics will include:
• Creating a school-smart home
• Establishing a working relationship with the school
• Using effective discipline and encouragement
• Promoting attitudes that build success
Session 1 : Preparing your child to succeed
Wednesday March 5, 9:00am - 10:30am, Founders' Theatre (ES)
Learn how to support your child’s learning style & provide a “school-smart home”.
Session 2: Encouraging positive behavior
Wednesday March 12, 9:00am - 10:30am, Founders' Theatre (ES)
Learn effective & positive discipline methods, and ways you can support school behavior management.
Session 3: Reinforcing your child’s academic skills
Wednesday March 19, 9:00am - 10:30am, Lotus Lounge (ES)
Discover what it really means to help your child succeed in school, and learn how to be an effective coach.
