All Grade 2 - 5 students are encouraged to participate in the ES Sporting Chance Series offered during breaktimes at WAB. The aim of
the series is to allow greater
exposure to athletic activity through innovative formats, give the
opportunity for talented athletes to get closer to their personal
potential and give children the opportunity to discover the multitude
of benefits that a sporting life offers. Please find a complete list of upcoming events and dates here.
Grade 2
- Middle Distance 400m Run, Wednesday, September 17
- 25m Freestyle Swim, Thursday February 5
- Team Handball, February 23 - 2 weeks
- 60m Sprint, Tuesday March 10
- Track & Field - April
Students earn an "I Did It" ribbon each time they participate in a Chance Series event. At the end of the school year, students with a collection of ribbons are awarded a medal, as outlined below:
- 5 “I Did It” ribbons= Gold Medal
- 4 “I Did It” ribbons= Silver Medal
- 3 “I Did It” ribbons= Bronze Medal
Grade 3
