ES students will have the opportunity to celebrate WAB's 'Diversity with Understanding' on International Day, Friday January 15, with a wide variety of activities, ranging from learning how to fold Japanese origami and or play a traditional Mongolian game, to sharing a dish from their culture, to dressing in the native costume or common dress of their home country. Many thanks to all parents who have volunteered to contribute dishes to the international lunch, as well as to lead workshops and celebrate our 'Mosaic of Diversity' as a truly international community.
Parents are invited to participate in the day, and to bring a dish for a shared lunch among classes and grade levels. Please, contact the homeroom parents for information about the shared lunch.
In addition, throughout the morning, parents are welcome to observe as students participate in activities from countries and cultures around the world, including:
Dances from around the world
Chinese Games
Japanese Origami
Old Fashioned Dutch Games
Danish Fairy tales
Korean Traditional & Modern Games
Mongolian Games
Poi Making
And more!
