| Farewell assembly where the Board of Trustees named the International School of Prague's theater after Robert Landau. |
Dear WAB Community Members,
With the 2007/2008 school year about to end I wanted to write a quick note to wish you an enjoyable and restful holiday. Our school finishes next week and our high school students are currently taking their exams. Our graduates are off into their new world of challenges and opportunities. We've had our field days, concerts and many other memorable end-of-year activities.
There is not a day that goes by without the usual question, "When will you be leaving for Beijing?" For months my answer was, "Oh, I won't be leaving for a long time." Well, that time is nearly upon me and my family. Everyone here in Prague has been so supportive and encouraging. I leave here knowing that I've helped the school move forward. Yes, I will miss our friends, our students and our beautiful city. However, I am truly excited about joining the WAB community in a few short weeks.
For now, we will continue to pack while attending many events and farewell festivities. I, like you, am looking forward to some relaxation before our move to Beijing.
To those families and staff leaving Beijing, please accept my best wishes for continued success. To those of you returning to WAB, I look forward to seeing you soon as we celebrate the beginning of the 2008/2009 school year.
Best regards,
Robert Landau
