All WAB families, teachers and staff are invited to celebrate WAB's very own Olympic "closing ceremony" at the annual Community Picnic on Saturday September 6, 3:00pm - 5:00pm, on the WAB Sports Fields. The entire family will delight in an afternoon of Olympic-themed games, traditional Chinese entertainment, including a Lion Dance and acrobats, a special guest singer and a barbeque picnic lunch! The Lion Dance is a particularly exciting portion of the entertainment as the Lion Dance symbolizes a new beginning, just as we celebrate the beginning of the new school year.
Karen O'Connell, Deputy Director and ES Principal, describes the Community Picnic as "a great way for parents and families to meet each other, as well as staff and other members of the WAB community, in a relaxed setting."
Parents are advised to pack a swimsuit for the kids, as some games tend to be a bit wet!
