Please note that all participants (including parents) are required to complete and submit a registration and medical form by Tuesday April 1 (forms can be picked up and dropped off at MS or HS Reception).
MS & HS Families are invited to join WAB Wild on an Expedition into the Miyun Mountains on Sunday April 6. Pack a picnic and come along for exercise, fun and fresh air, leaving at 7:30am from the HUB Carpark and returning at 5:00pm.
Trek Details:
After arriving at the village of Xia Zhang Jia Fen, we will enter the Jing Ling Gu Park and begin to trek through the mountain trails winding our way up the valley toward the ruins of the village of Shui Quan Yu. We will stop there for lunch, overlooking the village and hear some of the history of the village and the families that once lived there. Winding our way back down to the Bai He we will follow the river North toward the Miao Liang Environmental Centre before boarding the bus and returning to WAB.
Difficulty Level: Moderate
What to Bring:
• 15 RMB per person for park entrance fee (Bring on the day yourself)
• Suitable shoes and socks for trekking
• Long trousers (NOT shorts)
• Water bottles (2 x 1 litre each)
• PICNIC LUNCH
• Day pack for trekking (You are carrying everything with you)
• Toilet tissue and a plastic bag (we must carry this tissue out)
• Camera
• A Warm Fleece
