| Judith was one of many HS students who participated in the Dramatic Shorts Festival in December. |
A talented group of eight HS drama students are producing an entirely student-directed performance of "Teechers," written by James Godber, on Monday June 2 - Tuesday June 3, at 7:00pm, in the Out of Box Theatre. The WAB community is invited to attend.
Judith, a Grade 11 student involved in the production, offers the following information about the show:
"Teechers" is the story of a drama teacher who comes to Whitewall High School in England, a school filled with rule breaking,
disruptive and uncontrollable students. The play is told through the eyes of three school leavers although names have been changed "to protect the innocent"! Mr. Nixon, the drama teacher, manages to have a major impact on the students, revolutionizing drama at Whitewall before he leaves for another school.
It is most definitely a comedy although, due to some adult themes, we suggest for audiences to be in Grade 8 and above.
Entrance is free, but a collection box will be located at the door for those who wish to contribute to the earthquake relief fund.
