Another very successful week of work experience has been completed for Grade 10. Except for a few minor hiccups at the start of the week, all of the placements were meaningful and successful – of course some more so than others.
Some quotes from the week:
- ‘I learned that working can be tough!’
- ‘Teaching Grade 5 is easier than being in Grade 10’.
- ‘I learned I probably will never do this job again!’
- ‘I thought it was really exciting to be at the Ambassador’s house for lunch every day’.
- ‘The highlights of the week were getting my own desk, phone and laptop on the first day!’
- ‘I don’t want a job too hard, I want an easy job’
- ‘I learned a lot about myself’
- ‘Great guy, come and see me for work’
Many thanks to the businesses and companies who have supported our programme this year because without their input, these opportunities would not happen.
Special thanks as well to Faye Cowin, WOW Coordinator, for organizing, supervising and being on call for this amazing work experience week for WAB Grade 10 students.
