HS Students Receive ECIS Grant for Migrant School Renovation Project

Congratulations to Grade 12 students Cathy, Ming Wei and JJ, leaders of the Migrant School Sustainability Group, upon receiving an ECIS grant to renovate classrooms at the Taoyuan and Yuying Migrant Schools, where they've run a Saturday teaching program for the past two years.

A Topic of Her Own

All Grade 12 IBDP students have recently completed their Extended Essays, one of the mandatory requirements of the IB Diploma. At 4,000-words, this original research paper is the culmination of almost a year of independent research on a topic of the student's choice. 

WAB's First APAC Strings and Choir Concerts

On Saturday November 15, sixteen WAB HS students will join students from five other APAC schools to form a 96-voice APAC Choir. The WAB community is invited to this free concert, 6:00pm, at ISB. Also on the 15th, five of WAB's HS strings players will perform at the APAC Strings Concert in Shanghai.

WAB Rocks 11

The 11th installment of WAB Rocks hits the Link stage Friday November 7, 6:00pm - 9:00pm, with an all new line-up of WAB rock and rollers, in addition to guests from ISB.

The Geography of Change

Grade 12 student Hannah reports on the Grade 12 IBDP Geography field trip to a small village alongside the Great Wall, where they carried out research for their IB International Assessment, which comprises 20 - 25% of their final Geography IBDP grade.

TOK Retreats

On Friday October 31 - Saturday November 1, all IBDP Theory of Knowledge students from WAB joined with peers from BCIS, BISS and Harrow at the BCIS campus for a TOK retreat.

WAB Wild Family Trek

MS and HS students and their parents are invited to pack a picnic, don a fleece and discover the beauty of the Miyun Mountains on a WAB Wild MS HS Family Trek on Sunday November 23.
