| Prepare to get wet and have fun at the PTA Fun Fair! |
Five reasons to join the fun at the PTA Fun Fair and Rock in the Park:
1. To play fun games with your kids alongside other WAB families and get creative with interactive art displays
2. To hear WAB's swinging new jazz band and some of Beijing's finest young rock bands (includes acoustic, too!)
3. To nibble on the delicious treats cooked up by the Korean PTA moms and other fair-food vendors
4. To jump at the chance to win a Backstage Tour of the Olympic Village for four!
5. To celebrate the WAB Gong He and Olympic spirit while supporting earthquake relief efforts
The entire WAB community is invited to join the fun this Saturday, May 24, beginning at 2:00pm on the WAB Sports Field and in the Peace Park (outside the HUB).
On Saturday May 24, all WAB families are invited to attend the annual PTA Fun Fair, with loads of challenging, silly and fun, fun, fun games and activities, and lots of yummy food. Likewise, families are invited to Rock in the Park, which will be taking place, at the same time, in the Peace Park.
WAB parents are invited to place their bids on a number of red-hot items, including Olympic memorabilia autographed by gold medalists, a family pass for the Olympic Village, an official Australian Olympic tracksuit, a three-night stay at the Kempinski hotel's Sanya Resort and more, at the silent auction to be held on Saturday May 24. During the PTA Fun Fair and Rock in the Park, parents are invited to peruse the auction items, which will be prominently located at the PTA Fun Fair, and later moved over to the 2nd floor of the HUB during Rock in the Park. The PTA is still seeking volunteers to help out with this fun community event, particularly with preparing activities and decorations for the Fun Fair. The PTA Fun Fair committee will be meeting after school each day next week in the ES Art Wing to prepare decorations. Also on Saturday May 24, all departing students, parents and staff members are invited to the Elementary School Chinese Garden to participate in our Annual WAB Alumni Leaving Ceremony, between 12:00pm - 2:00pm.
