WAB's Compassion Reaches Sichuan
Many thanks to the WAB community for their generous donations to earthquake relief efforts in Sichuan, and to all who contributed through the PTA. Your donations have truly helped to relieve individuals and communities, including students and staff at the Nan Ba Zhan primary schools, as reported by the PTA Charity Committee.

Name Labels for PE Kits, Etc.
Last week, PTA Kits were distributed in the ES, and children are proudly wearing their new yellow and black WAB tracksuits and other WAB gear. In order to help ensure that students keep track of their belongings, the PTA strongly recommends that parents label their children's tracksuits, lunchboxes and other items with their child's name and homeroom.
10,000 Mooncakes
Representatives from WAB's PTA and China Studies Department delivered over 10,000 mooncakes to low income communities in the WAB neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon. Many thanks to everyone who contributed!

All WAB parents are invited to join the PTA for an author talk with Lorraine Clissold, a Chinese culinary expert, writer and former WAB parent, on Monday September 8 at 8:30am in the Lotus Lounge. Lorraine will be discussing the challenges and joys of feeding foreign teens and children in China, as well as her new book "Why the Chinese Don't Count Calories."
