Grade 8 Boys Soccer Opens Season with Strength

The Grade 8 Boys Soccer Team opened the season with a match against DCB on October 7.

A New Tiger in Town

The WABX Department now has its very own life-sized mascot--an orange tiger with a huge grin that "makes you want to smile" according to Nina, one of the two Grade 12 students selected to play the tiger this sports season.

The Nuts and Bolts of Coaching

WAB Coaches had the opportunity to attend a Coaching Nuts and Bolts training session/professional development opportunity on Thursday afternoon with Australian trainer Ross Sullivan.

Varsity Table Tennis

The 2008 Varsity Table Tennis final team was selected on September 16, and the team is now training every Tuesday and Thursday afternoons with an eye towards the ACAMIS and ISAC tournaments at the end of the season.

Girls' Rugby Tournament at ISB

Both WAB girls' rugby teams participated in an Invitational Rugby Tournament at ISB from Friday 19 - Sunday 21 September. Over the course of the weekend the girls played more than 10 games of rugby. A huge congratulations to all the girls on their performance!

Girls' Rugby Report

The WAB girls' rugby teams had their first games of the season on Friday 12th September at ISB. The Varsity girls played a fantastic match against ISB with the result 5-5.

Varsity Volleyball Starts Strong

The Varsity Boys Volleyball Team recorded their first win this season taking Dulwich College of Beijing in three straight sets. The boys opened the match with a convincing 25-14 win with strong passing and hitting coming from all players. In the second and third set scores the Tigers won 25-18 and 26-24. The boys hard work and focus in practice prepared them for this match and their skills showed as they were the stronger team on the court. The boys however still have some work to do before the ISAC and APAC tournaments.
